Why do Christians call upon Jesus before God. Didn't satan get in trouble for declaring that he would be "like my father," an equal.
It seems to me that declaring that Jesus IS God is the same thing.
Isn't this like exalting the son before the father, the prince before the king?

After reviewing most of these answers, it seem that you have all fallen for "The Great Deception" spoken of in the book of revelations. "Even the elect himself will be decieved."
Do you all think you are not succeptable? Yet you all still blindly swallow the same bull you've been fed for so long and can't use your own common sense that god gave you. It amazes me.

If the book says "HAVE FAITH IN NO MAN," why do you rely on everything told to you BY A MAN, for your salvation?

This is why Muslims do not pray to Jesus, believe he is the savior or the son of God and do not accept the Trinity. They believe that no one can compare to God and that he has no partners or equals. I agree.

No, not at all, Jesus is God, you see you do not get it.
God, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one God, this is called the Trinity.
The three who are one.
God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. Each has a will, can speak, can love, etc., and these are demonstrations of personhood. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.

This is the doctrine of the Trinity. Jesus has existed in the beginning, God the father plans, Jesus executes all plans and the Holy Spirit perfects all plans (for example salvation and regeneration and even the creation of the world itself). Jesus IS God.

Jesus Christ said, "I and my Father are One ... If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father." I believe Jesus Christ is God the Son. There's God the Father and God the Holy Spirit., too and they're all One. We can't understand it all, but I believe it. See the first chapter of St. John - read the whole book! John 17:25

Jesus was sent by God to use as a conduit to allow man an opportunity to receive God. In other words, they will go through Him to reach The Father.

Jesus claimed to be and demonstrated that He was God. And His Father acknowledged that he was His son. I and the Father are one. There is only one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus our Lord. We come to Christ because we are told to in Scripture. Satan tried to usurp God's throne. Jesus did nothing but honor His father.

It comes from the e book of Daniel "There till now me replace into one like a son of guy coming with clouds and heaven." Daniel 7:13 Daniel 7:14 rather says "He replace into given authority, glory and sovereign ability." while Jesus refers back to the "Son of guy" this is probably what he's concerning.

The Concept of three beings in one is somewhat to much for our minds to grasp that's what's causing all these problems i even find myself trying to think through it. But there are many examples of the trinity in affect God said in Genesis
"Let us make man in our image."
That shows The trinity in affect.

Jesus is God..
God the Father is God
The Holy Spirit is God..
the verse means not to have anything before God...basically don't put people like your wife/kids/boss/sports hero or other before God..
or don't put love of objects like money/nice cars/love of the internet before your love of God..
God comes first..then we can leave some time for the internet
