Dogs usually eat grass when they have an upset stomach. Usually they will throw up seconds after having eaten some. My dogs do this.

Well yes and no. When dogs (and cats) have an upset stomach or a stomach ache they eat grass as it acts as natural vomit inducer. It helps move along their digestrive tract and get their juices flowing again ( not THOSE juices )....They feel a lot better after they do, but its no fun for us to clean off the floor.

Yes it's ok for a dog or cat to eat grass as long
as it doesn't have pesticides or fertalizer on it.
Grass has chloriphil (sp) in it that eases an upset
stomach in a pet.
I'm a rancher and see it happen all the time.

yes.....Most veterinarians agree that dogs eat grass simply because they like the taste. Eating grass is not a sign of illness. If, however, there are signs of ill health such as excessive vomiting, vomiting not associated with grass eating, loss of appetite, diarrhea, weight loss, lack of energy, or any other symptoms of illness - call your veterinarian.
