What are some of your favorite/least favorite misconceptions about Atheists, or non believers?
I love the fact that we're called ignorant.
Oh, and I officially have no life...I finally made Top Contributor. Aren't you proud of me? Hee hee.

While I enjoyed you spouting off, and I'm sure laughing at Atheists while you did it...I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here. You listed alot of things that I already knew and I'm sure some other Atheists also knew, but I really don't see what any of that has to do with being an Atheist. None of what you're talking about has to do with not believing in god. And if you look back on some other Q&A you'll notice that most atheists only have a problem with the people that tell us we're going to burn in hell, or that we're ignorant for believing in evolution.

Congrats on the jump to Top Contributor! Kudos!
I would have to say the only thing that bothers me about atheists is that they not only end up in the fire pit of hell, but take innocents along with them. Very tragic.
Cheers and blessings!

What I love about atheists is that most don't know nothing about nothing.
That had absolutely no idea a Catholic Priest posulated the Big Bang theory.
They had absolutely no idea Catholics and Jewish theologians accept evolution
They have absolutely no idea the father of Genetics is a Catholic Abbott.
Notice the common thread and they say religion impeds science, yet most of the major postulated come from religious people.
Even Einstein had religion to a degree.
The first University in America was a seminary establishment (Harvard), as was the second (Yale).
Okums Razor came from a Priest
Isaac Newton postulated the modern accepted date of the Crusifiction of Jesus
They forget or ignor the fact that the first pioneers in America were Purtians, Congregationalists, Presbyterians, Catholics and Anabaptists, who make the country profitable for the English nobility snobs to come here with their deist and secular views.
They also forget some of those religious founders firmly believed in keeping religion out of politics and government.
So, basically, I enjoy watch the vast majority of Atheists spout off at the mouth about things that usually tend to have religious origin that they think are cornerstones of science and atheism!
And they say we can't see past our noses.
Atheists are always good for a laugh!

Congrats!
Beautiful dogs you got on your avatar picture. So you believe ignorance is bliss, I see.
Well a first misconception from the name Atheist is that someone forgot the space between A and theist so that when some'one' says he is atheist he really means a theist?
Sorry, bad humor. Just wanted to congratulate you.

Congratulations! You've joined an elite group.
I am amused by people who think that atheists have no morals. It makes me wonder if their morality would be missing without guidance from a book.
*Oh I'm also with Mayor Sean in believing that we have souls. I've never run into anything negative because of this, only a lot of questions.

That I worship the Buddha and my good works do nothing for me. Good for you, I spend more time in this section by a long shot and only have performing arts (where I swoop down to save misguided singers/actors but that only takes about 10 minutes)......where's my PRIZE??? That's not very Buddhist of me but I'm allowed a moment or two.

I hate it that people think we have no spiritual views and shouldn't be here unless we're looking for Jesus.
And I have nothing good to say about anyone who revels in the thought of others suffering horribly for all eternity while they watch happily in comfort. What kind of person gets off on that? I alway say, "May you receive that which you wish for others," which includes the good, the bad... and the enlightenment.

Congratulations. I'm retired and I thoroughly enjoy having R&S to occupy a few hours each day.
Jesus said that we would be hated for His name and we are.
I like the "Bible thumper" name and "Wasted Believer" because I haven't heard the latter.
We'll just keep on loving these Doubting Thomases until they call on the name of Jesus Christ.

My favourite would have to be the one about us choosing to be atheists because we want to live sinful lives outside God's law.
