Imagine you are in a room with 3 switches. In an adjacent room there are 3 bulbs (all are off at the moment), each switch belongs to one bulb. It is impossible to see from one room to another. How can you find out which switch belongs to which bulb, if you may enter the room with the bulbs only once?

turn the first switch on for 1 minute. then turn it off turn a different switch on. leave it on. then open the door. the bulb that is warm or hot, thats the switch that you first turned on. then the bulb that is on is the switch thats still on. and last but not least the bulb thats not on and is not warm is the one that you never turned on!!!
