good god, yes, alot of british people are extremely worried about immigration and having all our jobs taken and having lots of foreigners eating up all our benefits. there are some middle class yuppies who dont seem bothered, but they're not the ones being turned down for yet another minimum wage job in favour of a polish person who'll do it for half the minimum wage

Most of the British that will answer your question will say that they are. because they are the very people that are using our benefit system and they think the immigrant is taking something from them.
No matter how many people from the immigration dept. and others that know tell them that this is not true.
We do not have unemployment but we have 2.5 million unemployed then we have a further 4 million or so sick lame and lazy. The truth is that if we did not have immigrants to help with the burden the few that are working would not be able to support the non workers.
Already our pensioners that have paid in all their lives will only get 37% of the average pay. This is 80% in France or Greece.

Are the french worried about immigration ? Who can blame the french if they turn a blind eye about all their immigrants that are just passing through on their way to the UK, if the shoe was on the other foot would we care if they all wanted to get to France ? Our problem is our benefits system, if we conformed with the rest of Europe, then the stream of immigrants would soon dry up, so lets not blame the French, blame ourselves !

Bonjour mademoiselle belle
we English have been told by our politicians that we "do not exist and therefore have no entitlement to a homeland-" not only a racial incitement, but an attack on our Protestant religion too (MP Jack Straw- or more accurately Jakob Strau- a Polish Jew.)

We are not only very concerned about immigration, our very existence is threatened by it.

Learn from poor old Mother England, mon ami belle, I suggest you vote Front National to lead your nation out of the sewerage of socialist multi-culturalism.

I, like most of the people who have answered am very worried about the levels of immigration into this country. I have seen first-hand the effect it is having on the jobs market - less availability of jobs and wages being pushed down to unacceptably low levels. There has also been an increase in racial tensions over the last few years, something I disagree with but I can understand why it is happening. It is time that our government took steps to curb the number of people coming into this country and starting looking after the needs of the indigenous population. I appreciate that there are immigrants who may disagree with my views but remember there is a finite amount space and a finite number of jobs available here.

Yes we are. We do not have the facilities to offer NON- Paying Guests. Many of our own Native born Children and families are having to wait forever for the kind of help that needs to be shared out between ever increasing numbers of Immigrants of diverse backgrounds.

Isn't it ironic to consider that the Islamic wacko's forcing their beliefs, culture, and language, law, down the English throats, irregardless of local choice, is exactly the same as the actions of the British empire. This is Karma, (maybe the Hindu's are on to something, ), time for the English to reap their harvest, i hope its a good one, a belief shared my near and far.

Don't see why anybody should be worried as the immigrants do most of the hard work.

I am very concerned about the illegal immigration. I do not have a problem of people coming over that have jobs and will contribute to society. The people I have problems with are the people who see living in the UK as a way to obtain benefits, not need to work and are a parasite on the society.

You Brits had better RIOT -- AND FREAK OUT!

You must ACT NOW!

In the US, multi-culturalism is awful. Most US cities are gang-infested with dangerous "no-go" zones. The country is so divided with ethnic groups filing law suits against everyone and screaming racism. American TV makes diversity and multi-cultralism seem cool and trendy but the reality on the streets -- overall is different and deadly. The situation is so awful we're thinking about immigrating from America to Europe and I know there are many Americans (of European decent) who are thinking the same way as they see the writing on the wall.

At least in America, we have guns and we have more open space. You Brits can't survive on white flight forever. You must STAND AND FIGHT.

It is your religious, moral, ethical duty to your fellow Brit and your family to do so.

What was the point in fighting the Nazi war machine if you were going to give your country away?

Do you want to be refugees in your own homeland? The land your fathers toiled and bled for?

As for America, the stupid argument (it's a land of immigrants can be made) but for the UK and Europe there's no excuse. This is your indigenous homeland. No one else has a right to it.

You Brits are many, your government is few. I'm sure your military and police are full of people angry as you are.
