I have pretty -well, really- long hair, and I've been wondering about the best way to get a mohawk out of it. I've been thinking of cutting it anyway, but I think a really long mohawk would look pretty great. I've tried some gells, but they take waaaay too long to dry. Any tips?

Cut the sides and back short before shaving it... like really short - leave the long center part the length you want.

To keep it up, I used sugar water, it dried more quickly than gel. Mine was only about 4" long, though. Some of my friends used egg whites, but I would think it would leave a kind of crust on it.
