My daughter loves to go to parks and loves the rides, but screams everytime the ride is over. Any advice? It's so hard to watch her having a great time and then scream like the world is coming to an end. Hopefully it's just a phase, however this seems like a really long phase as it started when she was old enough to ride on rides.
We are ready to give up on her and not take her to amusement parks until she's a little older.

She cries because she doesn't want the ride to be over.
Explanations have been given and threats of leaving and actually leaving have also been tried.

She's old enough to understand an explanation, so sit her down and explain the situation that if she can't control herself when the ride is over, that she won't be able to go on rides anymore. Warnings are important at that age too. Be sure to let her know when she has two rides left and it's the last ride of the day. You could also offer her a surprise at the end of the day if she keeps control of herself. She might need reminding at first. Just say, "Remember what we said about not riding the rides anymore. Now take a deep breath and let's go. You're a big girl."
Good luck!

How about trading the kid in on a new one? Or you can tell the darling before you get to the park, the expected results that you require in order to stay at the park. If those results are not realized, then leave. after a time or two, the child will get the hint. How's that for an answer?

If she is crying because she doesn't want it to be over, you need to explain to her that every time she wants to ride, she has to wait in line because there are other kids who want to ride.
If she is crying out of fright, it's probably due to the adrenaline rush from the ride. If I am involved in a confrontation or an emergency situation, I often find myself shaky with tears in my eyes afterwords. It's just my body's response. If this is the case, I don't think there's much you can do except immediately distract her with something else. Good luck!

emphasize on the fun she just had, and set a consequence. If she cries then she will not be allowed to ride it again next time. Point out other kids who are not crying.

get an all day pass next time
go there often
I have some very nice memories of my Fat German grandma, she would eat 10 ice cream cones and then put her teeth in her purse, and then go on the roller coaster with us. We all loved that. Laughing and joking. She was in her 70s.
