Universalist, Anglicans, Most of these are basically, do Good.
The Golden rule is usually followed. Also the Liberal Catholic Church as Defined in Aus, and in Britain, all Good Freemason Types. No God really, just do the right thing in the higher Classical Greek sense.
In Broader terms, though, its not A-theism in the sense that the Ann Coulter types claim. Its just that its not about Theism in the Personal Deity sense. There are many Sacramental aspects that fulfil what the NON-Theists want, and it is not Strictly Theism, nor is it a Anti-God Element. In fact some would have the concept of a Deity outside of themselves as a higher Power, just that it is not THEISM per se. I think this is where the Critics of the Universalists fall flat.

I don't know any atheist that wants to change anybodies mind. They just don't understand why theists can believe in something they see as obviously false. They feel put upon by people who would force them to live by values they don't hold.
For example; What if someone made it a law that Christians couldn't go to church. Nobody would really do that because the Atheists want you to feel free to express your religion. Yet Christians (and others) want to legislate their religious beliefs so that Atheists are forced to participate in religious activities that don't feel right to them.

But poor Poseidon is WRONG - Aethiests have been taught, wrongly, what to believe just as much as Christians or anyone of any faith has. EVERYONE is following someone else's belief system. Although some people INSIST that they aren't influenced by any person or any religion and that they think for themselves - it's an interesting perspective. The problem is, they got that perspective from SOMEONE ELSE. Everyone is following someone else. We are all believers in something. I believe in Jesus. Good Luck to everyone who is in search of a greater understanding.

I don't care if even one religious person stops believing in their religion because of what I say. All I want is to stop bigotry against atheists, and to stop the weakening of the separation of church and state in the U.S.
You are revealing your bigotry when you think we atheists "worship ourselves". I don't "worship" anything. I do feel wonder and awe about the existence of the universe and my awareness. But my wonder and awe are directed at learning real truth, and are not trapped in the fearful beliefs of desert nomads from 3000 years ago.

We have better things to do on a Sunday morning. Like sleep late.
What's a "panflet"? Some kind of cooking utensil? Try "pamphlet".

Why are you so riled up by atheists ? They have just as much right to hold their beliefs, or lack of them as you do. Okay, maybe they're wrong but maybe you're wrong about a lot of things, too. You seemed to have separated spirituality from religion and compassion from concern. This only validates much of their criticism to certain religious people.

Wanting to end the unwanted impact that religion has on our lives does not indicate creating a church. The fact that you suggested it shows how far the current model of Christianity has filled your mind.

Have you ever been to a Unitarian Universalist church service? They tend to be fairly nontheistic already. Its pretty rare to hear the word God ever mentioned in the services I have been to.
And if you think most atheists worship themselves your bigotry is showing.

Many if not most atheists do not need a crutch of support from other people like a church. They make their own destiny and do not need to be told how to believe.
