I've noticed that after a solid weekend of drinking, for some reason I have a really tough time falling asleep on Sunday night. It's been happening for about a year now and I can't figure it out. If I don't drink all weekend, I have no problem Sunday night with falling asleep. I think that now it's mentally messed with me because it takes me about 2hrs to fall asleep on a Sunday night after a weekend of drinking. Any ideas how to remedy that (other than not drinking)? Or what it's caused by?

For one, your worn out which might seem like you should just pass out, but your drinking all weekend probably caused you to over excerted yourself. Like if you try to stay up all night your really tired for a while then it goes away and takes a while to get back to the sleepy point. Try to do something relaxing an hour before you wanna go to bed like reading or anything to that nature, take a warm bath.Hope I helped not that great at explaining things. Good luck

Man, alcohol is a depressant that can also act as a stimulant in the beginning--it will kick your butt and I'm telling u this as a heavy drinker if u are not ready to quit as I'm not--get ready to pay some high consquences and have some nerve pills handy to pop when the buzz is over and u want and need sleep. The entire world embraces the drinking personna and we have to pay for the ill effects of an alcohol induced world--while millions of people are getting rich off of our stupidity. It's so addictive especially if you have family members who had-has drinking problems.

You're probably passing out Friday and Saturday then Sunday you usually just lay around all day. So you sleep on and off all day then you are not tired on Sunday night.
