I've been wanting to this for a long time now on my legs. I have very dark thick hairs. Waxing is just too painful. Is it a good idea? I know it's pricy, but I want to know if it'll be worth it.

You sound like a great candidate. My wife had her legs done and she is very happy.

Make sure you go to someone who has plenty of experience and is using new technology. Older systems don't work as well and they have more risks. Also, make sure to start your treatments before you start tanning your legs.

The attached sites have more information, a directory of providers and they rate providers based on previous customers survey results.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

If you have light skin and dark hair, yes. That is what gives the best result.
