Not according to Transparency international, according to this worldwide survey the UK are perceived to be joint 11th in the list of the least courrupt countries in the world, meanwhile the USA is in 20th place... I suppose it depends who you speak to.

........the UK ain't that CLEAN as you might think.

I think you will find that the UK might not be as 'OPENLY' corrupt as developing countries.

They're just as corrupt as any other nation, but they hide it very cleverly.

just take a look at the Supermarkets opening up here and there, even on 'green field' sites, if we as Private individuals were to just ASK about planning, we'd get turned away before we even get through the door. I'm sure there are a few 'brown' envelopes going around.

For a western so called civilised society we are at rock bottom and the politicians are at the fore front as the cause. The labour party has set new standards for sleaze and only wish I could be sure that the alternative parties were any better. Voting at the next election will be a total nightmare for the real voters of this country.

People in the UK are aware of our good reputation for honesty in business and politics. We are the gold standard for the rest of the world.

It's not rock bottom. It is a fact, but you cannot compare the levels of corruption with those of such countries as India and Pakistan.

You mean England, not UK?
In which case I agree with you, we have no corruption at all in Scotland, Wales, or Ireland, England yes, I think it came second only to Nigeria, but they have had generations of practise in England, they are no good at sports but they are well up in the corruption league!
Hope this helps?
