Shih Tzu's are great for agility training. I do agility with mine and there are alot of people there with shih tzu's.

That sort of thing is generally called "agility training" for dogs, and I've seen dog shows where Great Danes went through the courses with flying colors! It doesn't have to be a small dog, or a "traditional" agility breed, in order to do well.

Australian shepherds are very common, as are collies and border collies, from what I can see. But all you need is a dog who loves to play, and the right kind of training.

I had a jack russel, and my cousins have 3. All of these dogs/puppies are very cute and timy and can jump anywhere from 5-8 feet high depending on how you train them. They just have the genetics for it. I would really reccommend this dog.

I suggest the Rat Terrier. They are very smart and very good at jumping. Gertie, in the picture, is a rat terrier and is about 5 pounds. She's on the little end. Rat terriers are typically 5-20 pounds and are excellent jumpers without being too high strung (like other terriers).

Border Collie. They are amazingly intelligent and great at that kind of stuff. I am not sure if that is too big, I think Jack Russels are spose to be good athletes as well.
