Perhaps you are giving your love to someone who is not open to receiving it. You can love someone with all your being but that cannot make that person love you. Besides you don't want someone to pretend they feel the same, in the end, that would only hurt more. Be thankful that you know now that you will not get what you are giving and either learn to be happy with what you have or move on to finding someone who can give you what you are looking for. Because you give your love away like an employee at the mall food court handing out samples with tooth picks. Instead of hoping to get a response wait for the right person to come along. If you weren't so free with your emotions, you wouldn't get hurt so much. Stop focusing on having a GF, start focusing on having a good life. Women come and go but the chance to better yourself rarely comes along. Focus on you and if someone comes along who appreciates that, go for it. Until then, calm down in the love department.

The love that each of us give is as individual and personal as we each are. You cannot MAKE someone love you. It is therefore highly possible that the love you lavish on a particular person can only be returned to the maximum ability of that person, which to you might seem sadly lacking . You may infact begettig more love in return but your perception doesn't see it. It is also likely that you are investing your love in the wrong person.

Sometimes I think that society has conditioned people to only expect to be exploited. Some people think that when you show real love you are trying to scam them or they dont know how to deal with it or they see it as a sign of weakness.
