ok , i have several tattoos and im currently having a half sleeve done. This latest part was done on the inside of my elbow. The thing is its been 2 days and the entire thing is covered in a layer of like white dead skin. it almost looks like its covered in white cream but its all broken skin. I've never had this go on before. im not sure if its the location or what. IS THIS NORMAL? ( Also this is entirely line work)

Your elbow is a very busy area, bends and flexes all the time. It's going to take a while to heal. Go wash it with warm water and rub it gently with you hand. Pat it dry and put some unscented lotion on it, or if your tattoo artist gave you something to rub into it, use that. I would stop by the shop and let your tattoo artist take a look at it, but call first to see when they have time to take a look. It's probably nothing my dear.

sounds normalish to me...if your that concerned then go back and show it to your artist.

1st few days it should have some kind of antibacterial creme on it...

here is what my shop has as far as aftercare:

Fresh Tattoo

Take bandage off in 2 hours
Wash tattoo carefully with warm soapy water
DO NOT SCRUB
Lightly pat the tattoo until dry…
DO NOT RUB
Apply a very thin coat of bacitracin or aquaphor ointment 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days
Although re-bandaging a tattoo is not recommended, if covering the tattoo is necessary a sterile bandage or dressing should be used.
Be sure and wash the tattoo every night and morning…
DO NOT SOAK
Avoid tattoo exposure to direct sunlight and refrain from swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water for at least 2 weeks.
After External Healing

Tattoos heal quickly BUT fading can still be a problem
Apply hand lotion once a day until dryness stops
Vaseline Intensive Care, Lubriderm, Nivea, etc...
Tanning fades tattoos
Always cover fully healed tattoo with sun block
DO NOT RUIN YOUR INVESTMENT!!!

that part of the body is moved alot, it tends to be a naturally dry spot all you need to do it to lightly wash it and pat dry add some neosporne and if you get like a white paste after applying wash again and reapply do that for about the next two days then apply lubriderm moister lock or some unsented lotion to it 4 times a day for about a week it should keep it moist so it does not peel bad

Well, I had a lot of chipping on mine until it healed, but this does sound a little weird. Go back to your tattoo artist and show him.

It's what we like to call "silver skin". It is just a part of the healing process.

well since you have several i guess i do not need to tell ask you if you have been properly treating it, like with whatever your artist recommends (perfume free lotion, a and d ointment..) otherwise that sounds suspect.
