Hi
probably the most widely used and best known home remedy is the vinegar soak method (or apple cider vinegar.)You may read various stories from other suffers how this treatment was not as successsful as they first imagined

The reason for this is this method is probably not the quickest - most suffers seem to stop when they seem to have conquered the condition, only for it to come back some weeks later.

What you have to remember is whilst using this treatment you have to do two things - one is a change of habit, if you soak your feet for 20 minutes then put on a hot swaety sock, you are no better off. Similarly you have resign yourself to the fact that the treatment will last a minimum of six months and so even after three when the infection has appeared to have gone, continue with your routine.
The second thing to do is to change your diet - you must change your inside to present a better outside , read this statement over again becuase it is true. If you produce an excess of yeast and fungus then this is the true root of the problem

Try MSM and Grape Seed Extract. They are both available in the vitamin area of a drugstore. My husband is diabetic and started taking them for the sores on his lower legs. The sores healed up and so did the toenail fungus! It takes a LONG time, but eventually as the toenail grows out, the new nail will grow in healthy and you can eventually cut off all the old misshapen nail as it grows out.

VICKS VAPO-RUB!!!!!
My husband suffered from toenail fungus and has had a specialist prescribe $70 creams that ended up NOT working any way.
I work in surgery at a busy hospital and was told by an RN on one of the units to have him try the Vicks. It worked great. He saw improvement in a few weeks!!!!

Tea tree oil and vinegar are both natural anti-fungals. I find brown vinegar works well and the smell dissipates sooner. Try to keep your feet dry, and if you sweat a lot then try rubbing deodorant on the bottoms of your feet to reduce sweat. Bacteria breed like nothing else in warm, humid conditions. Hope it clears up!

I've heard Vicks Vaporub rubbed into them daily works. Haven't had any experience to say if it works for sure though.
