I make my own seafood sauces and you can eye up what you put in the recipies. It's really easy. And also depends on how many you are feeding.
Cocktail sauce: Ketchup (tomato sauce), horseradish, a couple dashes of hot sauce (Franks red-hot), a bit of garlic powder and a dash of lemon juice.
Tartar Sauce: Mayo, finely chopped onion, dill weed, garlic powder, black pepper, cayanne pepper(red pepper), pickle relish.
Dill sauce: Mayo, finely chopped onion, garlic powder, black and red pepper, and dill weed.
**The reason that it says ketchup on the back of the bottle is more than likely due to show the consumer that its a tomato based product.**
Hope this helps.. :)

Catsup and ketchup are the same thing. It is spelled (and pronounced a bit differently) depending on where you live. Seafood sauce is a tomato based sauce (like ketchup) with horseradish for the sharp bite, onion garlic and lemon juice.

Seafood sauce? Umm, I don't know what that is but Tartar sauce which is often served with seafood is mayo, capers, diced pickles, a little horseradish and maybe some lemon. Another sauce served with maybe shrimp or certain types of deep-fried breaded fish is cocktail sauce, which is just catsup and horseradish, maybe a little lemon.

Exactly what seafood sauce are you looking for? The only one I can think of that the main ingredient is ketchup is cocktail sauce. All you need to add to it is horseradish (the amount you add depends on how spicy you like it) and a little bit of lemon juice if you like.
Hope this helps.

Catsup is the old word for Ketchup, and I was led to believe that the word "ketchup" means tomato. So the expression tomato ketchup is like saying tomato tomato.

Seafood or cocktail sauce has horseradish in it, that's the primary difference. Other flavors may also be present depending on the brand. Try some for yourself :o)
