what would you do? what should i do...?

so my son lives with me nothing is settled by the courts, except child support. basically i let his father see when whenever he wants to and i am never to strict about it. yesterday i let him come take him for a few hours, and then i called him and said i needed to come get him to he could get some dinner (he is 18 months old by the way) so i told him i wasnt sure when i would be there, but when i showed up i could hear my son crying and i looked at a girl i knew that was sitting on the couch and i said what's wrong with him? she said oh his dad went in there and shut the door, so i walked over and opened the door (he usually doesnt keep it shut anyway) there he was with two of his friends and he was the onr holding the bong. obviously smoking pot with my child in the very next room, i was instantly pissed! i grabbed my son and left without saying anything to him, he then called me and said he couldnt understand what i was so mad about. DUH!!
what should i do? keep him away?? help!!

I think until your son's father is responsible enough to be a father then you should not allow him to take your son. Using drugs is just unacceptable, especially when you have a child in the next room. However, I believe that every child has a right to know their parents, both of them. Maybe, if you and the child's father are able to get along, then he could be allowed to go to your house to spend time with your son while you are there to supervise. I would go back to court and tell them what you saw and he will probably have to go through a rehabilitation program or some sort, that's what my Daddy had to do when my parents got divorced three years ago (it was different though since I was 15 then...)
