You can check your local 9-1-1 facility as well as other agencies for openings. Different agencies have different requirements depending upon the size and professionalism of the organization. Most have set educational standards but will hire without previous experience and train you. The hiring process typically consists of a written test, typing test, one or more interviews, criminal background check, hearing test and drug screening.
