Hi there, good question! Dogs are not allowed to eat chocolate, porc, onions, grapes, raisins. You can give your dog most vegetables, and chicken breast (no bones) is good once in a while. Not too much, you do not want the dog to have too much protein. Veggies are great, most dogs love them. They can also eat some fruit.

You should really only give your dog vegetables other than their regular kibble......although my dog loves marshmellows & she gets one after each walk. If you think your dog is bored with her kibble - buy different flavours & mix it in. That would be better than giving him/her people food. My dog is on a base of lamb & rice. I buy duck & potato or venison or turkey flavours & mix it in with it so she has some variety.
Dogs should not have pork (too hard to digest) or anything sweet as it rots their teeth. Chocolate is dangerous in large portions for dogs but it sounds like you already know this.
You have to be very aware of the dogs weight when you are giving them people food on a constant basis. For some reason they gain very easily and an obese dog is not a pretty sight and it is hard to put them on a diet.

Pork Chop or Chicken bones - a lot of people think its OK to give dogs these, but the problem is both kinds of bones can splinter when the dog is eating them and cause MAJOR problem in their intestinal track. The best "people " foods for feeding your dogs is chicken, beef, rice, green beans, carrots, and eggs....just to name a few. Also don't let your dog eat any type of nuts or corn as they body cannot digest these things.

Chicken meat is fine, but not chicken bones...they splinter and pierce their throat or insides.....tomato can affect dogs intestinal acid balance....my dog is epileptic and ham with preservative, tomato, chocolate can all set her fits off......so be careful with these things....also do not force your dog to eat a food it does not take in the first session...that is an indicator that they are allergic to it, not good for them or they plain just do not like it..........hope some of this helps you....G'Day!

If you really want a happy healthy dog who will live many years, you really shouldn't feed them any people food. If you pick a high quality dog food and stick with it your dog will not only have a better chance of staying healthy but, you also won't have as much poop to pick up or gas to smell!

Onions, chocolate especially the dark one, they don't digest it well. Pork (two much grease), olives, raisins and chicken or fish with bones, because they swallow the whole thing and the bones can harm them. Salty things are also bad for them, yes they have different digestive system as us humans. A small treat here and there of human food it is ok. but too much of it and they can have digestive problems, obesity and diabetes.

You can't give them too much sugar, and hard chicken bones. ( the bones are spiky and turn like thrones when your dog chews it) at least most dogs.
