Someone mentioned being wary of Lyme disease, but that's a fallacy. Cats are naturally immune to Lyme, unline dogs who need the vaccine.
Pull the tick out with your nails or tweezer if your furball will let you. This is sometimes a 2-3 person job haha! Make sure you get the entire thing out. If you can't, don't worry, it will eventually detatch itself once it's full. The problem is, it will then be in your house... or somewhere else on your cat... Unless you find it!
Good luck!

There is a little tool you can get from most pet supply stores. It's kind of like tweezers, but you push on one end to open the "mouth". There is a little arrow on there that shows which way to turn it. Make sure you grab the tick as close to the head as possible.

well, you could let it be, it will fall off by itself when it's full...... but it's best to remove it, just hold him down and grab the tick by pinching near its mouth, and then twist it til it lets go, this removes the tick without leaving any mouth parts behind that might become infected. He won't like it, but it should be done.

Fleas/ticks are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

You will have to take him to the vet. You will need to be wary of lyme disease which can be contracted after a tick has been embedded.
