MY mother in law says that there is a difference when you use unbleached flour and organic sugar in her recipes I don't see much of a difference except the color of the flour and sugar are a slightly darker than white sugar and bleached flour. I can't taste any difference either, but she says she can taste a difference. Organic sugar to me tastes the same just a larger granuale, and it's not processed as much. Is there a difference?

Other than being better for you to use less processed foods, yes there is a difference using the two items you mentioned.

Unbleached flour has a nicer taste that bleached, it also makes for moister goods.

Organic sugar - if you mean cane sugar - it makes syrups and liquids thicker than regular sugar. It doesn't take as much to attain the same sweetness and you don't find yourself going back for more sweets (less additive perhaps?)

I know bakers prefer unbleached flour. But honestly, I cannot tell the difference b/t bleached and unbleached. Same w/ organic sugar. Tastes the same to me.
