Either a flash memory or miniDV (not miniDVD) camera would be a good choice. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, you can get a cheap flash memory camera for under $100. www.aiptek.com has some flash memory cams. However, the quality won't be great, and you will have limited recording time. Although you will be compressing for the web, a higher quality camera will still yield a better quality result. I think miniDV is your best choice, unless you don't have a firewire port and don't want to install one. You can get a pretty good miniDV camera off eBay for several hundred dollars off its retail price (I got my GL2, a $2700 camera, for $1500). Since you have windows xp, movie maker will make transferring your videos to your computer very easy. If you don't have a firewire port (aka IEEE 1394 or iLink), you can buy an adapter at your local electronics store for $50 or less. Hope this helps!
