I think that's unfair. I would agree that it's an unusual choice, but to call it disgusting is a bit extreme.

For some, meeting on the internet is the only way they can "break the ice."

With that, I think that no one can find their "true love" by ONLY using the internet. Personal contact is vital. (For obvious reasons.)

I had asked about this because i wondered if people really tried to find their true love over the Internet But i don't knock people for doing that because some people are just very, very, shy and would much rather talk over the Internet. I would just hope that they would be very careful of whom their connected with because some people just aren't trustworthy anymore and could put your life in serious danger.

Depends on the situation. The person could be very bad but yet there a few good people still left in this world. So these people are just trying to find what they think is right. Why be alone in your life when you can go out, have fun, and explore the world. Why be a sag on a friday night when you can be out and live like you were dying?

I think that people do things for different reasons and while I know that many people have found "true" love on internet dating sites, I also know that it can be a risky and scary proposition. That being said, I would not be so judgemental of others and their choices....disgusting is not a term I would use to describe it...

why would it be disgusting? you have to meet someone somewhere, whether on the internet or in the supermarket....I was not looking for anyone, I had been widowed for almost ten years but my husband that I am married to now and I met by accident online and we have been happily married now for over 6 years! That sure is not disgusting to me...please be careful of judging people and making such an unkind statement...be blessed

If you disagree with it, just say so. I for one disagree, but the manner in which you write it, I don't agree. What may be disgusting to you, may very well work out for another...I'd sure hate to join YOUR congregation
You sound like an uneducated child
and there's another uneducated child just below me

My wife and I hit on each other on the Internet all the time before we finally got together and hit it off.

Men fall in love with their eyes and women fall in love with their ears, as the old saying goes.

It can and does happen.
