You'll always run into people who don't like tattoos and think they're stupid. In my experience (I have tattoos), people who understand and like tattoos have no issues where you put them on your body. People who don't "get" them, understand them or like them will have issues with it no matter where you want to put it. If you want to get one, put it where YOU want it, because you'll have to live with it forever. Ignore the comments from the tattoo-haters: they'll hate it no matter where it is on your body.

I just got a tattoo on my shoulder blade last week and I think it's a great area I want to get the other one done ASAP, I figured it's not visable unless I'm in a bathing suit or a tank top, but then I thought about my wedding dress. I want to get married one day in this strapless dress I have been imagining since I was six, my tattoo will be visable in it. I guess I never really thought about it, and I love my tattoo so it's not an issue for me. But make sure you think about things like that.

The same way I would think about a woman that didn't have a tattoo on her shoulder. Just because you have a tattoo doesn't change the person that you are.

I don't like the big wings that some women do... or even the big huge ones of anything... but I think that a smaller-medium sized one on the side of your back on your shoulder blade is cool. I don't think there's anything wrong with that - go for it! That's still something you can cover up down the road when you're old and wrinkly.

I think women with tattoos are hot!!! I have two and I love them I have no regrets at all so I dont see why you would have an issue just go for it anyways everyone is gonna tell you different opinions and if you do get it theirs gonna be tons of people that will like it and then theirs some that will think your just crazy so its really up to you if you really want it or not.

one of my shoulderblades is tattooed and saturday the other one will be too. actually after saturday the entire upper half of my back will be completely covered. i like good tattoos regardless of where they are or what they are of. so as long as you get a good tattoo from a good artist then i say go for it!
also, christy l down there seems to not like the way her tattoos look when she is dressed up but i LOVE dressing up and having my tattoos show. i don't think that tattoos negatively affect the way you look when dressed up, only your attitude and confidence level does that.

I love them I have one on each blade and have been complimented on them by even the daintiest of old ladies, men and women of all ages, and even my husbands golf buddies wives. It's just important that you like what you place on your body- keyword YOUR BODY. When I went for my first measurements for my wedding dress my designer was so shocked she never thought that under the cashmere and lace I would have had tattoos of any kind, she pushed the idea to go strapless to accentuate the beauty in the artwork.
So anyway like I said before the key to it is that you like it. I love mine

I think tattoos are beautiful, so any where a person has them is fine with me. I think the placement and what you get is a personal choice and nobody should influence you in that manor except maybe the artist doing it because of size and clarity issues

I have tattoos on both my shoulder blades and to be honest, I wish I didn't have them. If you ever have to wear a nice strapless dress to a classy place, you don't want to be sporting tattoos, so you're forced to wear sleeved dresses to these events. It gets annoying at times. I've actually thought about having a make-up artist airbrush them off with make-up so I could wear the dresses. I might try it soon.
