I would consult your doctor. If Wellbutrin isn't working then he/she should take you off of it. If you have been taking it a long time then you should wean yourself off of it under the direction of your doctor. If you haven't been taking it a long time then still see your doctor for advice.
There are so many other medications for anxiety and if this isn't working then don't put yourself through the hell of waiting. I was initially put on Wellbutrin when diagnosed with anxiety and it definitely wasn't for me. I'm not saying it isn't an effective drug, but just like any other drug it doesn't work for everyone. I have been through alot of doctors and alot of meds and finally found a combination that works for my anxiety (zoloft and klonopin).
Don't be afraid or apprehensive about telling your doctor that Wellbutrin isn't working. Your doctor should be looking out for your well being and should have no problem in prescribing something different.

I would suggest that if you were given a prescription for Wellbutrin, you should see your doctor before taking yourself off of them. There will always be some sort of side-effect, so you want the support of your doctor who will be able to monitor your body's reaction and hopefully help you through it.
I'm not sure how bad your bouts with depression are, but I recently dealt with slight depression and was able to counteract some of my "blues" by using St. John's Wort. It has it's own set of side effects, so as I mentioned earlier, make sure you consult your doctor.

melancholy could make you irritable, and which could make you indignant. you are able to ought to get lower back on your medicine. melancholy and anger are heavily correct in what's observed as the sympathetic apprehensive device--this is what makes people frightened, depressed or indignant ("combat or flight"). If the neurotransmitters are off adequate to reason melancholy, they might additionally reason anger. Anger is each and every each and every now and then the main glaring symptom of melancholy, exceedingly in adult males. i ended taking my Paxil final summer season and that i had an anger outburst at artwork while an email from my boss merely hit me a definite way. I busted my mouse and slammed my keyboard on the table. What she suggested wasn't rather that huge of a deal--she merely have been given on my final nerve, i think. i'm hoping you talked on your scientific professional. in case you probably did no longer like what you have been taking, in keeping with risk your scientific professional can swap you to a minimum of something else. i might merely ought to declare it is not rather the main superb time so which you would be able to get off your meds. you won't sense openly depressed or demanding suited now, yet anger is an basic way of overlaying melancholy. you will likely initiate having greater glaring melancholy/rigidity warning signs quicker or later.

I'd advise you to see your doctor about getting off wellbutrin and soon. I'd also advise you to ask him or her for something that will help with anxiety something like xanax will help with that. You might try telling your doctor about it, some psychiatrists they don't really listen to you sometimes and are uncaring. Also see if you can get for a sliding scale fee pay as much as you get in income you pay according to that for psychotherapy in private sessions.

I would definitely see a doctor. My co-worker was off of work for a week detoxing off of Paxil. She was a total mess.
Doctors are not clear when they prescribe anti-depressants. They fail to make sure their patients understand they are taking a drug that will create dependency.
Your physician will taper your dosage, until you no longer need it. It is VERY important to do this under the supervision of your doctor.
Good luck to you!

It is best done slowly, under medical supervision. No coffee or caffeine products (Coke, Red Bull, Excedrin), or cold medications or illicit drugs. Adopt anti-anxiety coping methods: http://www.selfhelpmagazine.com Meditation room; try it out; mantra meditation; repeat: "easy" 20 mins daily. Tai Chi & yoga suits others better. Or use them all. Work up slowly to 30 -60 mins vigorous exercise, daily. Eat healthily; keep occupied.

I would see your doctor and tell him/her you want to wean off of them. You'll have to taper off on a schedule to you don't get sick, cold turkey isn't good but you already knew that! I'd see your doctor. And I wouldn't let anyone talk me into staying on them if they're not serving their purpose. Best of luck to you. I hope you're back to yourself soon, minus the anxiety of course!

See your GP first. If u suddenly stop it then it could cause unwanted effects. Your GP will tell you how to reduce your dose.
