Do you mean he`s promiscuous? Yeah, unfortunately it`s major problem with us bipolar people. Get him in to see someone. He`s probably manic and needs some mood stabilizers..

If by sleazeslut, you mean that he is over sexual or promiscuous, then yes, it can be because of his being bipolar. When in manic states many, if not most, people become more sexual. It also causes them to be more spontaneous, not really thinking of the consequences of their actions beforehand.
Decreasing this behavior is done by getting on correct combination of medications to get the mood swings in check. This can take a while to do though, and the right psychiatrist is essential.
As far as the medication goes, what exactly are you worried about?

I was married to one - it might be the meds, it might be the disorder, could be "just the way he is". You need to do some thorough research on Bipolar disorder so that you completely understand it if you are to stay in a relationship with this man. I have known people who have been beautifully under control with their medication and I have known some who go off periodically and flip out. Some get angry, violent, promiscuous, spend every dime they have, etc. Another problem that can go hand in hand with it is self-medication i.e. booze and drugs. I am not telling you to walk away. If this person is important to you, you need to know what you are getting into so that you are able to cope and be a supportive partner. You need to understand the percentages if you have children together of them inheriting the disease, etc.
