Accordingly, the Catholic faiths are managed by an Anti-Christ. My Children are enrolled in one of those finest Catholic schools. Am I receiving the mark of the beast in my forehead?

Infrared, I agree with your thought. When the church reacts negatively the government scrambles aface saving retreat.

*sigh* In accordance with your beliefs, maybe you should pull your kids out, put them in public, secular, God-is-not-allowed schools.

While you're at it, I can suggest some readings for you that might help understand why we who read Scripture and stay Catholic don't follow this understanding of Scripture.

If you really believed the video (yes, I watched it; the music is by the Chemical Brothers, off the Matrix soundtrack), you're listening to more 16th-century propaganda than fact. Many Americans do.

Rev 17:9 should be a dead giveaway. Rome is founded on 7 hills: Kapitol, Palatin, Aventin, Caeius, Esquilin, Quirinal, Viminal. This was in the video. These are east of the Tiber.

The Vatican is founded on ONE hill, called Vatican Hill. It is west of the Tiber. It is not part of the seven hills of Rome. It is an independent country, not under the jurisdiction of Rome, not part of Rome. Thus, the argument in the video that there is a Catholic "King" in the Pope refutes the tie to Rome.

The heretics who were killed for reading the Bible - who is telling you that this was their only crime? Heretics were punished over the centuries, including execution, but many were executed for political reasons or by secular leaders (who defined heresy as anything they didn't like). For instance:
- the ones who taught that salvation was gained by cutting off the male appendage (Castrators)
- the ones who taught that sex with anything that moved was desireable and good (Free Spirit Movement)
- the ones who taught that there are two Gods, one in the OT one in the NT, and they are at war (Docetists)

These are hardly saints; indeed if they were punished for reading Scripture, they were punished unjustly because they clearly didn't pay attention.

Then there's Revelation 17:3 - a woman who wears scarlet and purple, gold and jewels. Considering that the clerical garment is WHITE (with vestments of green, purple, gold, yellow, orange, etc., for different seasons), this is non-unique. Moreover, tell me Rev 17:3 WOULDN'T apply to the St. Louis Cardinals:
- Scarlet : obviously
- Purple : Accent threads in some of the 1980's caps
- Gold and jewels - World Series Ring, baby!

The video doesn't mention some other parts of Revelation, which surprises me. Usually I hear:
* wealthy nation
* the world pays tribute
* major trading partner

Fact is, the Vatican is a small nation (2003 revenues of $252 Million), 2 miles in total size, mililtary of 100 soldiers (Swiss Guard), population 783. Consider Rhode Island, Gross State Product of $33 Billion. Most of the wealth of the RCC is invested in buildings and art works.

And no one worships the Pope, except the media, who consider him an oddity (elderly, celibate man who somehow is spiritual leader of 1.2 billion people).

Next Rev. 17:10. Funny, they said the same thing when JFK was shot... in the head, no less. The argument that JP2 rises again from the dead to take over Benedict XVI or just come next in line really makes sense only if you follow all of the

And now for the big part - JP2 rises again! The evidence? The Beast recovered from a head wound, and all the world marveled...and worshipped.

That's the problem with the logic. No one worships JP2. No one did, no one will. And if he rises from the dead, I think quite the opposite will happen. That'd be kinda scary.

I'll level with you. The RCC isn't the target of Revelation, just of centuries-old prejudices and modern misunderstandings.

You probably read "A Woman Rides the Beast" by David Hunt, which follows much of the (since disproved) logic of Alexander Hislop's "The Two Babylons".

I've suggested some other reading below. The simple truth is that the sequence outlined in the video is, however well-done technically, not convicing and is based on a faulty understanding of Scripture, history and geography.

The last one I include as an alternate understanding of Revelation. I subscribe to the "shall not know the hour nor the day" approach and so really don't venture into guessing who or when the Antichrist will be, but you might find Alexander's work of interest.

In Christ,
V17

Your question does not make sense to me. You say the Catholic Church has the mark of the beast and still you send your children to Catholic schools?

What is really your intention? The link you gave is an anti-Catholic website.

May the Lord's peace be with you!

Your question is incomprehensible !

The Bible does not say that The Catholic Church is the Antichrist, that is a false assumption with no Biblical Foundation.

BTW : Today Most Church run Schools are not Catholic, but Evangelical/Fundamentalist.

I attended Catholic Schools for 12 years before going to college (95% of my graduating class went to college), and I thank God for every one of those wonderful years, and every one of the dedicated teachers, coaches and staff who invested their own lives to help me grow academically, spiritually and ethically. I wouldn't be who I am today if it were not for the Catholic schools I attended. Their record for excellence is unmatched anywhere.

Your question follows no logical steps. I have no idea what you're asking, other than that you seem to be trying to bash the Catholic church.

The pope is the ruling antichrist spreading blasphemy. Mary wasn't the mother of god she was the vessel of his spawn. We are not to pray to anyone other than jesus. We are not to pray to the saints, there is no purgatory. Bowing before a statue of jesus on our wall is idolatry. Carven images of god or anyone is idolatry. The current pope served the nazis, he has the blood of god's people on his hand and people will say "he had to do that or die" Did not god call all of us to serve his will, why only do it if it won't get us killed, is that true faith? would the pope stand against the nazis now? or bend his knee and serve faithfully.
