if someone speaks softly, try to maintain the matured way of courtesy, it is taken as a drawback & people heckle them in public? R we supposed to behave only in shrude manners?

in today's society most of us maintain a "nice guys finish last" approach to life. if you are the "nice guy" you are seen as weak and valnerable, making it that much easier to belittle you, to make someone feel better about themself. but we must never mistake kindness for a weakness. everyone has a breaking point. if the nice guy is heckled too much, a whole lot of sh!t could hit the fan. like roosevelt says "speak softly and carry a big stick." at least i think that was roosevelt

My husband speaks very softly and ppl don't make fun of him.
