I met a girl at a friends wedding about a month ago - she seemed really positive and fun and we talked a bit (mostly about her) and i notice she kept sitting next to me, coming outside when I was..etc

she crossed my mind a few times since then so I got her number from my friends new wife, and gave her a call. She was driving at the time so I told her I'd call her back in 15 but she didn't answer. i text her to say i don't understand what i said in the matter of minutes to make her ignore me and that i would take it as if she is having a bad day... she text me back apologising. she was having a bad day and that she would be free the next day should i wish to call. i called 5 days later at end of the week but no answer. she text me a few days later apologising, & she was having it hard and busy with work, but saying i should call her sometime during the day. considering the trends so far i am no fool - she will not answer.

What the hell went on?

i personally think you should back off. i'd be annoyed and put off if in a matter of 30 minutes i was contacted three times by someone i barely knew (the call, call, text while she was driving). if she wants to call you, she will. if she doesn't, i'd forget about her.

It sounds like maybe she was just wanting some company at the wedding. Take it from a girl who was that girl at my best friend's wedding. I was single at the wedding and pretty much spent the whole night talking to the best man. He was a really nice guy and a nice guy to talk to, but I really wasn't interested in him in that way. He called me several times after the wedding - and we even went out a couple of times. I viewed him as a friend but I could tell he wanted more, and because of that I started avoiding the situation. She probably didn't see this going any further than that night and maybe that's how she wanted it. If she is interested in a friendship or more she will call you. I would just let it go and try not to take it personally.

My guess is that she went to the wedding solo, saw you were alone and was interestd in a one night stand. Ever noticed that weddings tend to have this effect on single wman. Forget her unless she makes the next move and phones you.

either she is shy, with phone conversations, or maybe she was just really unsure of you after the wedding thing. Call her up one more time and ask her out to coffee or prehaps some other small thing, in a public place and prehaps with friends.

Well since she answers texts maybe that is her preferred means of communication. I think you should text her and ask her to meet you somewhere.
