It depends. If you can persuade everyone that you pay each month to accept play money instead of real money then I say go for it.

I've won six million dollars in play money, but unfortunately no one I know will accept it as payment in lieu of real money. But good luck.

Good job! Making that much money on play money prove that you know the game.
But you can't compare play money and real money.
- You are going to act a lot differently! Trust me.
- The players you find and play against don't have the same skill at all!
- Playing for a living require to play middle to high stakes.

So yes you it would be foolish of you to even think about quitting your job.

My advice: You're ready to play with real now, forget the play money, it's the pass for you. Make your first deposit, and let me know how thing going.

Take care

I hope not. Just because you can win at the free poker does not mean you will win in the real money games or tournements. I have over $300000 in play chips and I am down about $150 in real cash. Everyone plays differently in real games. Keep your job and play for fun.

nope...i believe that you can sell your Pokerstars playchips ...! million play chips would be equivalent to a very small amount of real money so you are far from quitting your day job just yet...I have a friend who consistently sells his chips in 10 million play chip lots and uses the money for real money play...but he is far from having a huge RL bank roll

Keep the job, retire and keep the friends and experiances. If you make $40k a year at the job, 25 years you have a million, add another million to that, with interest and that could bea good retirement.
Or buy a sailboat, a nice one, with the $200,000 you will have after taxes and sail the world.

Readers Digest is a very reliable publication. Take the word ''May'' as 'definitely yes' and quit your job, go to your bosses office and show him your spidey behind.
