Help people to be not so "bad". Fight against drugs. Don't let anyone be poor or mistreated. Give all you can comfortably give to charities. Treat people the way you would like them to be. Stop thinking of them as "bad" or "evil". Make sure all kids get a good education. Encourage love and forgiveness. Visit strangers in hospitals and prisons. Volunteer. Prayer does not get things done: Get off your knees and make a difference.

All that is required for evil to triumph is that good men(women) do nothing. However that is exactly what the modern mindset is teaching,do nothing. I like the quote a previous poster used from Nietzsche, and it's right about being careful not to become evil yourself, any soldier that's ever been in combat can probably tell you that. However we have gone the other direction,we have tried to enter this arena where we believe that peace is the absence of conflict. We do this in world affairs when we refuse to stand up to brutal tyrants instead using political means which take decades to succeed if they succeed at all. Meanwhile millions suffer, hundreds of thousands die and we are just thankful we aren't in a conflict. We do it also in our judicial systems when we allow our leaders to lock up hundreds of thousands of non violent offfenders for what are nothing more than lifestyle crimes offending someones twisted sense of morality, like drug use, meanwhile because of the burden put on our system many murderers, rapists child molesters get less and less actual time served in prison because we need the space for thousands of non violent offenders. And of course we have the twisted sense of morality that wants lesser punishments for many crimes in favor of "rehabilitation" which has been shown does not have any effect in many types of crimes. Vermont for example now seems to have the attitude that child molesters don't deserve prison, probation and counseling are their chosen methods now for criminals who ruin a life completely and who have the highest repeat rate of any crime. There is your government actually aiding evil. And I shouldn't even get into the death penalty, but I say there are people who have surrendered their right to life through their actions, and every time we spare those people or show compassion for their situation we help facilitate evil. We after all are in protecting a murderer from execution saying that their life is actually more valuable than their victims.
So how can we fight evil, quit enabling it.

There have always been "evil" people.

As there are more living people on earth at this time then ever before, it only goes to prove that there would be more "evil" people (and more good people too).

All we can do is try to make our own little corner of the universe as good as we can. Do unto others and all that.

Do what you can and spend your time worrying about the things you CAN fix, not the humungous world problems that you cannot control.

Good luck to you in your search for the truth.

We do not have to fight against it but rather join the fight that God is already involved in. God has dealt with it through Jesus Christ who came to this earth to " save us from our sins". Jesus' answer to us as Christians is to live righteously and teach righteousness until He returns to take us to a place where there is no evil or bad people.

The only thing that will overcome evil is good. Return good for evil. Some will still choose the path of evil regardless of what you do, but you don't have to be like them. Live in God's love and evil cannot conquer you.

One person at a time. If you are not evil, then the world is not evil.

I'm not sure that you can ever completely defeat evil. It is important to remember the words of Nietzsche "Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."

all over the world people are trying to have peace...............but because the whole world is lying in the power of te wicked one, we will never have peace. What we needto do is put our faith in God's kingdom. This is the kingdom or government that will fix all things.
1 John 5:19............We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.

Daniel 2:44........“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

Forgo religion and you will have forgone evil. So many people have died in the name of religion. If you believe in the bible, then the touted saviour is actually the worst genocidal maniac out there.

There are certain things the Christian can do to fight the attacks of the devil. The tells the believer to do the following:

1.Resist

The Bible tells us to resist the devil.

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

If we resist him, the Bible promises he will leave us.

2.Make No Room

We are not to leave any loophole for the devil.

and do not make room for the devil (Ephesians 4:27).

3.Use God's Word

We are to reinforce or saturate ourselves in God's word.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly diving the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

When Jesus was tempted by the devil, he answered the three recorded temptations by quoting Scripture. It is written is a powerful response to the devil.

4.Put On Armor Of God

The Bible tells u that the armor of God. can be used as weapons against the devil.

Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

5.Discipline Ourselves

Self-discipline is another way in which we can withstand the devil.

Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Summary

The devil is an enemy that can be defeated. The Bible gives us things that we can do to keep him from winning the spiritual victories in our lives. It is our responsibility to put these into practice
