I am going to call the vet when they open but I wanted to know if someone might know what this is. He has bumps around his mouth and one by his nose. The best way to explaing them is that they look kinda like really bad cold sores. His one eye also looks like it may be bothering him and last night had gunk coming out of it. I also noticed he has what would be the same as swolen glands in a human. One side is bigger than the other. He has 9 siblings and none of the other ones have this on them. They are still in the whelping box that I can daily with lysol/water mix, I change the papers out every 1/2 hour except at night and if I am gone(which isn't for very long). The bottom of the box is covered with a table cloth but the sides(which are wood is not covered. Any help would be appecaited.

I also meant to mention that it seems to hurt him.He doesn't like it when you touch it. He doesn't stratch at it either so I don't think it itches. To explain another way of what they look like I would have to say really huge pimples, the way they look when you first get one.

I will close out this question when I can. I just took him to the vet and he said it is puppy strangles(or something like that) He put him on a antibotic and his siblings to just in case and also gave hime some cortisone. He said we should see improvement by tomorrow.

Sometimes despite our best efforts a pup or 2 may get and infection. It is usually caused by mom licking the pups to the point that she over cleans them, not your fault at all. I'm glad your calling the vet and getting this pup some help. There could be a ton of things going on with this one pup.
You cleaning is a good one and the only other thing I can possibly think of is that perhaps this one pup may be sensitive to either the Lysol or the new paper print. See what the vet says.
Good luck!
Yes I understand the bumps you are describing. I would guess then it is what the above person has said that it could be puppy dermatitis, Bring the pup to the vets and have them do a culture. Puppy dermatitis can start as a small red bump then get a small puss filled head on it much like a pimple and spread. Then mom tries to clean the pup and she spreads it.
Hope this helps out a bit more.

Your gonna need to separate that puppy out for a little while until the vet can determine what is going on. It needs to have a skin scraping done to rule out sarcoptic and red mange one of which is contagious to the other animals. Unless there are fleas, could be that. Puppy's also get puppy dermatitis, sorta like preteen pimples in kids. Hopefully it is that, but vet can tell you for sure. If it's that it is easily cleared up with antibiotics and topical ointment, but these are your most likely problems. Sounds like dermatitis to me, however make sure you rule out those other problems first I would hate for you to assume he's okay and wind up spreading mange through your litter. Good luck

it could possibly be acne due to moisture or he can be allergic to something or maybe he got stung by a bee. i would say give him a benadryl see if it helps.
