i've been friends with this guy i work with for a long time, we sleep togeher, go drinking together, he's even told me he loves me. but when i asked him if we should make our relationship official he says he's not ready. some1 please help me.

Stay away from him till he is ready to make it official. Right now, you are just a friend with benefits to him.

It's not hard to understand guys. If you give them sex, you've given them everything they want. Asking him for commitment when he's getting everything his horny heart desires will come up empty. The way things should work is:
1. Become friends.
2. Date (no sex)
3. Commit (Steady bf/gf)
4. Courtship
5. Engagement
6. Marriage
7. Sex
It's very hard for humans to put off sex until after marriage but as long as it doesn't come until after step 4 or 5 things should still works out.

Uh...like he said,...he is not ready not to mention WHY commit when he is getting everything he wants from you while uncommitted. YOU need to make decisions about the type of relationship YOU want to be in.

sounds like maybe he is just using you....men do stupid things....maybe first it started as hanging out at bars and drinking, but then at some point it crossed the line. you need to put an end to it. if he is not willing to commit, then you need to move on....

Well let him know how you feel if he's still not willing to commit then he might not be that into you...Then you should stop seeing him before you get your feelings hurt even more...
