He bites on door stops, wood, furniture, shoes, clothing, fingers, and especially feet and toes. Then of course anything that moves is done for. And he tries to eat the 4 year old cat.

Sorry I should have mentioned that he was neutered and had his front claws taken out at 8 weeks. To be honest I did nip him back on day on the ear. He was none to happy with that and smacked me in the face. Thank god he didn't bite me there.

Remember, a kitten is like a baby, so he's testing out his choppers. It will subside after a while, but it's a good bet you need to give him a little more attention and love, because he's probably asking for attention from you.

Best of luck, cheers !

Hun, I hate to break it to you, but that 5 month old kitten will continue to bite everything for probably another 7 months. I did notice right after I got one of my cats neutered at 6 months that he stopped being so obnoxious. He has completely chilled out. That might be an option you could consider...otherwise, get him a friend or some toys (my cats are easy- they prefer aluminum foil wadded up into a ball). Good luck!

A 5 month old kitten is a BABY, he's teething and should stop by the time he's 9 or 10 months old.
Just be sure to keep and eye on him so that he doesn't start to chew on electrical cords or things of that nature.

I won't give my "evils of declawing speech" since he's already had his toes amputated...but just on the off chance that you'd like to educate yourself, please do an online search about declawing a cat...it's not pretty.

You have to wait it out, at about a year old they seem to mellow out.
Our youngest cat mellowed out at about 9 months and stopped terrorizing the house hold.
Hope this helped.

Nip her right back.
When I was baby I always used to bite people.
People let me get away with it, so I continued.
My dad didn't take to kindly to my habit.
I bit him one day, and he nipped me right back.
I cried, and I don't think I ever bit anyone again, 'cause I know what it fells like.
It's all psychology.

Has he been neutered yet? If not, do this soon. He will mellow out afterwards.

Good Luck!
