I mean he missed that knockdown on Saturday, i also remember his handling of the Mayweather Jr Vs Baldomir fight not being that great either. Im not questioning his integrity just his ability.

Santana - I had it the same, if i had to score the 7th as 10-8 JMM i would of had JMM winning by 4 or 5 points at the end but if you score that as a 10-8 round the other way, which i think it would have been if Nady had seen the knockdown and sent him to the neutral corner, it would of made the scorecards virtually even. Im just sick of fight fans being let down by poor reffing and poor judging, i mean when i heard that 118-109 being called out it made even me an avid fan of the sport all my life think is it worth watching when the judges obviously havent got a clue.
Blogbaba - I used to think the same but lately he is letting us all down with some terrible refereeing.
Brent F - I completely agree.

I also forgot to mention the scoring in the Forbes fight and the Ponce De Leon fight were ridiculous as well both should of been much closer than the cards were saying, oh well i suppose the judging was consistently poor all night.

It's just not just Jay, the referees and judges of late have been so far off the mark. The most hideous job of refereeing a fight was done by Jon Schorle when he let Victor Burgos get pummeled by Vic Darchinyan for 11 rounds. You have referee Kenny Bayless who likes to get as much airtime as the the boxers, cautioning and pulling apart fighters in the middle if exchanges so he can get a few more minutes of camera time. How about referee Laurence Cole who was suspended for 5 months for telling fighter Juan Manuel Marquez who was accidentally headbutted by Jimrex Jaca and suffered a cut to his forehead when Cole stepped in during the 8th round and tells Marquez "You know you're ahead on the score cards."

I had Juan Manuel Marquez ahead on the score cards against Marco Antonio Barerra but not nowhere close to the margin the judges in Vagas had it. Come on! It was a one or two point fight.

You have to question Nady's ability, he just hasn't been on point in recent fights. How could he not have scored that a knockdown for Barrera? And the judges are becoming a joke, 118-110 for Marquez? What fight were they watching? I had Marquez winning the fight, but it certainly was much closer than an 8 point fight. This is one of the things that's hurting boxing in my opinion. Bad judging, bad refs, and bad matchmaking, especially in the Heavyweight division. How does Ray Austin even sniff a shot at the title when a fighter like Sam Peter is being denied a shot he rightfully earned? Boxing needs a national commission to clean up a lot of this mess.

I agree - Nady should of seen that knockdown - I don't think that Marquez should have won this fight. If anything it should have been a draw. Well hopefully the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight is better refereed. We are missing good referee's for all these top name fights.

I will forever consider Jay Nady a hall of fame referee worthy of the highest praise. The look he gave a question asked at the end of the Zab Judah/Kostya Tsu fight was classic. Nobody's perfect and Jay made a mistake, it happens. Blogbaba says live and let live, Jay's no MIlls Lane, but he's currently one of the best boxing has to offer.

To me and I've thought this about Nady for quite sometime. Some fights he gets overly involved almost wanting to attract attention to himself. Other fights it seems like he falls asleep in there.

i think that keny bayles is not doing a good job lately and i am worying his problem. i think he is depresed and that he should take a break first and not return and i think he should retire. jay nady is famous for refereieng the juda and tzsyu fight in 2002. he is good but i think he did not referee very well in the barerra fight against maquez bout.
