I doubt that anyone will admit they have been helped by a Christian if they are not a Christian.

I've had a few kind comments, sure. But I think you're talking about beliefs here, yes?
And I do wonder if there just isn't too much of a gap between 'us'? You see, as I understand it 'being saved' means either being saved FROM something (sin) or FOR something (the hereafter).
But since I don't subscribe to the view of 'original sin' then I don't understand the concept of 'deliverance'. And as I don't have a belief in life after death, I can't really get excited about 'redemption'.
And so, as yet, I have not found anyone who has done anything more than make me think that we just see the world in very different ways and that such truths are personal, not absolute.

I haven't seen anything interesting from anyone who refers to himself or herself as "saved". Those people simply don't seem to know anything about religion or spirituality.
For example, notice that you said "our planting of the word of God". First of all, there is no "word of God", because there is no "God". Secondly, on the assumption that you're referring to the Bible, we've already heard it. Nonbelievers are not people who've never heard those Bible verses, we're people who know more about religion, Christianity, spirituality, and the underlying philosophies than you and other "saved" folks will EVER know. You can't tell us about God because we already know more than you do. It's terribly arrogant of you to presume otherwise - your incredible pride is really driving people away from your religion*.
Marce's story (right above me) is a good one: actions here clearly speak louder than words.
* Yes, I know that the believer will think "OUR pride? He's claiming to know more than we do, and then calling US arrogant?". The difference is that I'm right. Don't agree? Tell us something about religion that we don't know. You can't do it - you've been talking about it until you're blue in the face and have yet to come up with anything at all. It's not arrogant for me to claim to know more than you do when in fact I DO know more than you do.

Only by example of how bad things -could- be.
Whenever I get the feeling that my programming is getting the better of me.... that emotion is thwarting my ability to reason ..... all I need do is take a look at a few born-again christians and once again I am reassured that no matter what goes wrong for me, at least I won't ever be as idiotic nor misguided as them.
Then typically I go mock them to cheer myself up.
Stupid theists... *prods*

Yes, when my best friend and her 3 kids couldn't pay their rent a church helped them even though she didn't go to that church and was not of that religion. I very was impressed.

Honestly, I would admit it if it ever happened. But, it's all so much blah, blah, noise to me after awhile. God bless, this, Praise the Lord, that, a few Bible passages and love, love, love, can you give us some money?!
It's all so tiresome and insincere, really.

I've learned how dishonest and hate-filled some people, who say they are saved, can be.
