My windows media is in a foreign language, along with some other windows stuff, i'm really struggling to find out how to change it, I have tried loads of things and it hasn't worked, can anyone take me through a step by step guide... Thanks so much

You may want to uninstall your media player and the install it again from Microsoft website because that will surely be in English.

log into the windows media website---its very helpful

This should work !!
right click on your windows icon:::
click on "properties"
click on "version"
click on "language"
type in ::::::English (united states)
click "apply"

maybe you can try this:
*start button > control panel > Date/Time/Zone/Language > choose your desired language. and click OK.
