Sausage and mash. Sainsburys does nice sausages (taste the difference) and they are very reasonably priced. Potato's are cheap, get some peas (or whatever veg you like) and have it with loads of lovely gravy. Yummy.
If you get lamb sausages, or spicy ones, sweet potato mash is extra yummy with them!
A filling meal for 2, that tastes delighful, for under a fiver!

I live on my own but I still have a substantial meal every night. Last night I had spare ribs with curried rice. Tonight I'm having sweet 'n' sour turkey with boiled rice and veggies. I'm at work tomorrow so I'll be taking a pasta salad in with me.
On Wednesday, I may have home made fish pie. I quite often have spaghetti bolognaise, sometimes a chilli.
If you own a recipe book, go through it then you'll have something different every night and you won't get bored with the same thing. I used to do that when I still had my Dad with me, I was most impressed at my Russian fish bake with Apples Amber and vanilla ice cream.

I think i might make my boyf an omelette or sausage and mash that always tends to go down well with him. Plus its cold today so something warm would be nice.

Why not fix him a nice pasta dish with fresh vegetables and lots of parmesan cheese. Saute some onions and garlic, add tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and basil, black pepper, and oregano..
Serve over pasta....mmm mmm good.
