How can I talk to my classmate seriously?
I have a classmate with the 1stname Rosepetal Hummingbird and she doesn't want to have any nicknames. I have to go to the bathroom to LMAO so I wont be able to laugh when I have to mention her name.
I don't want to be a rude person but her name is really laughable. How can I stop my self from laughing.

well, first of all, shame on her parents, what might be cute for a baby is not always cute when your all grown up, I imagine with a name like that she probably hates being introduced to new people!! Imagine filling out a job application or going on a job interview!! Just try to remember her feelings and imagine how you would feel in her shoes! Take it easy on her.

Rosepetal Hummingbird is a beautiful name. If you do not think so, it is not your concern about people's name. It is very rude to laugh about it. Think positively about that person, and you will find the result.

Maybe you could say her name a few times under your breath before addressing her. Or just call her 'Rose..' . If she doesn't like that, then just tap her on the shoulder to draw her attention.

I do not understand why you find that name ugly.
