I found a photo of the relic identified as the Sword of Prophet David in the Topkapi Palace Museum in Turkey.

Can anyone tell me if there were any studies done by anyone on the authenticity of the sword?

What about those drawings on the sword?

Like all such claims, this one is of course false.
It was made to draw crowds of gullible morons into whatever museum is losing money.
And it will work too.

David's sword was the one taken from Goliath
so it would have originally been a Phillistine sword taken in battle... they could have been Phillistine marks

not sure how a sword of David would end up in Turkey???? how do you know its Davids' sword

in the time of David Jewish swords would be rare, the metal workers/iron workers in particular would be the Philistines and the Jewish people didnt have the technology until David... possible after David lived witht he philitstines fleeing form Saul for a while... David possibly got the metal know how form the philistines then... its unsure... but they did around then circa 1000BC

I've heard of the key of david, but not the sword. I would tend to go with Yoda, are you sure they arn't trying to boost their lagging sales? How many places has the weeping virgin showed up? Gullible people always seem to fall for that one. It always makes me laugh when I see people tripping over themselves to look at a frost pattern, or a wet stain on plaster. It doesn't suprise me though, that men would rather do obeisance to a material military weapon, than searching for the keys to the kingdom.
