Hey everyone,

I recently got light blonde chunks in my chocolate brown hair, and I've been looking for ways to keep it light blonde (and not the yellowish type of blonde).

I hear a lot of stuff about "purple" and "blue shampoo", which apparently helps.. but what is it exactly??

I've never heard about it before!

So it's just any normal shampoo that's either blue or purple in colour?

Okay, i have this shampoo. What it is, is its shampoo that because of the purple tint, it keeps blonde hair from going brassy, and it keeps colour in. It really does work, i have dirty blonde hair, and it normally goes brassy, but this shampoo holds the colour, and still have blonde hair.

It has a highlight in it so you can keep your color light. You can buy a small amount at Sallys Beauty Supply for like 2 bucks and mix it in with your favorite shampoo.

It's just shampoo but it deposits a litltle bit of purple pigment in your hair to keep it from turning yellow. I use it and I like it but I mix it with regular shampoo because it's too strong by itself.
