There are personal belongings of Abraham and Moses too in Topkapi Palace.
but the government does not allow scientific testing, let alone bringing the belongings out onto daylight.

'and would proof of their physical existence validate any part of their faith?'
Their belongings should be important if they were.

There is an abundence of extra-Biblical evidence supporting the fact that Jesus lived. As far as I can tell, no reputable historian doubts He walked the earth. Here's an interesting article that lists a number of them: http://www.christian-thinktank.com/jesusref.html
Because David lived so long ago, there's little left except what's written in the Bible. However, he's mentioned in several extra-Biblical sources. Here's one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tel_Dan_Stele
To "Missy" -- "Jesus was not a prophet?" Wow, you need to look into this more. Start by reading Deut. 18:18, then read this article: http://www.jewsforjesus.org/publications/issues/11_4/prophet

The first three are on par with Achilles, Hercules, and Helen of Troy. For Jesus we have very scant evidence and so for the time being he is a historical person. Mohammad however is a totally different story. We have tones of historical evidence and we also have personal belongings. Some of them are in display in the Top Capu in Istanbul.

I know of no evidence against the existance of King David, but nothing solid supporting him either. The other three have evidence that indicates them to be mythological.

Ok, scratch King David too. The occupation dates of cities where he was supposed to be are off by up to 400 years.
