god is not the answer.
you don't need to have a reason to be happy and kind,
all you need is to be alive, don't look to the sky for answers,
look to yourself and those around you.

Good question. I have always wondered the same thing. It was not untill I got into serious bible study that I truly became closer to God. Now I feel I can't do enough. Even though I am Sunday School Superintendent, Drive Sunday School bus, help arrange services on prayer nights, clean church 2 months a year, volunteer for special functions, I still feel I don't do enough. The more I do for God the more fulfilled I feel. No better feeling than having the joy of God in your life. No better high than the Holy Spirit in your life.

I take it from your question that you know the answer.
For those who don't I would say
Yes! You defenitely were made with a purpose.
Your purpose is to bring yourself into subjection to the will of God. What the will of God in your life is only known by God!
Many people don't seek the will of God by Fasting and Prayer and therefore lack insight in thier lifes. No one can tell you what the purpose of God in your life is only God can do it.

Pray, Read the Bible, and Listen to the Holy Spirit You will find the answer.

Remember this is not our home we are just visitors here! But God wants to use you in this world in preparation for Heaven.

My purpose personally is to preach the Gospel and inspire other young people, this I discovered last year-coming from a boy who was the shyest in his class-God can use you.

God Bless

When my husband and I got saved on the same day I knew God had a purpose for us just didnt know what it was at that time. We both wanted to see the lost get saved. We witnessed pretty much where ever we was. We had a Nursing Home ministry and put alot of prayer into that work. God always has something for us all to be doing.

Yes, He has a plan and a purpose for each individual, if they would only surrender their lives to Him.

For I know the plans I have for you says God, plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you a future and a hope.

God does have a plan for our lives. Concerning all of humanity God's has willed several things:

All People To Become Christians

The Bible says that God wants everyone to be saved:

This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3,4).

He is slow to judge unbelievers because He wants them to repent.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Human Stubbornness

Therefore, it is not God that keeps people from being saved but rather humanity's stubbornness to believe God's promises. Though it is God's desire that everyone believes in Christ as Savior, we can thwart that desire by rejecting Him. Still, God does want everyone to come to know Him.

God Does Have A Plan

First, God does have a plan for us. The Bible says:

And He made known to us the mystery of His will . . . according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will (Ephesians 1:9.11).

God's Plan Is Good

Furthermore, the plan of God for our lives is good.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will (Romans 12:2).

Christians To Be Like Christ

For Christians, God's desire is that we should be like Him. He has told us that someday we will be made like His Son:

For those whom He foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might be the firstborn within a large family (Romans 8:29).

Ultimately we shall be like Christ. This does not mean that we will be God or have any of the attributes of God. He is the creator while we are the created ones. Any abilities or talents that we have are given to us by Him. The Bible makes this very clear. The Apostle Paul wrote:

For what makes you different from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did receive it, why do you glory if you had not received it (1 Corinthians 4:7).

Christians Are To Bear Fruit

Finally, it is God's will for Christians that they be useful, they bear fruit with their lives.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).

Summary

The Bible says God has a plan for humanity. For unbelievers His desire is that they should come to know Him. Once a person becomes a believer, God begins to work in their life to make them more Christlike. Ultimately every believer will be conformed to His image.
