It seems to me that G.W. and many other christians don't take greenhouse and climate change very seriously.
Is this because they believe that God put a finite amount of oil in the ground that would be just enough to get us through to the apocalypse?
Or is climate change a welcome sign that the end is nigh?

It's not that they don't take it seriously, it's just that some don't see it as the huge emergency that others do...

If you look up any global temperature chart on the net, you'll find the earth's temperature has only increased by about 6/10 of one degree (C) - that's 1.1 degree (F), in the last 125 years. So yes, the globe is warming up, but it's not overheating like some would have you to believe. http://data.giss.nasa.gov:80/gistemp/2005/2005cal_fig1.gif

If the climate change alarmists are serious about the warning of the impending disater, they MUST become vegetarians. The latest research shows that the methane from cows and pigs is a major factor in the increase of "heat trapping gas". It's actually 23 times more potent as a heat trapping gas than is carbon dioxide. http://www.greenpeace.org/international/campaigns/climate-change/science/other_gases

According to the newest UN report on Global Warming, "Livestock are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together." http://news.independent.co.uk:80/environment/article2062484.ece

So if Al Gore and all the alarmists really want to do something about climate change, they MUST become vegetarians and shut down cow and pig farms. I mean seriously, if they truly believe that global warming is as disastrous as they are preaching then they need to stop eating meat, period! I seriously doubt that will happen. If not, then they are the hypocrites that some of us already suspect they are.

Also Al Gore preaches to you to conserve, but he does not practice it himself. He uses 20 times more energy in his Nashville mansion than the national average. http://www.tennesseepolicy.org/main/article.php?article_id=367
One thing he has not learned is that you MUST practice what you preach... at some point you will get caught as he has.

First of all the climate change is absolutely man made mishap. Politicians in the name of industrialization and economy play havoc. The ecological balance that was originally maintained when there was no greed in the mind of people and they were content with whatever resources they possessed when they were living in small communities in remote villages has been disturbed to a great extent. The hole in the ozone layer is the result of the invent of refrigerators and air conditioners. Now the entire globe is almost nearing the boiling point unless some pragmatic measures are taken by all the people and the mindless politicians who care only for their position. Even a child can tell that consumerism can never recoup the resources. Is man to day happy with all the technological feats and automation. Everywhere technology is staring in our face with ominous future. Only God can save the planet. nagarajan.

The climate has not and is not changing in any way that it has never done before. The world try's to use fear to keep the price of oil up when in fact we would be able to breathe a lot better if we stopped burning God's garbage and started burning our own.

Talk to any geologist. The history of our planet is a history of change. The climate has changed at least five times since our anscestors left Africa hundreds of thousands of years ago. Change is going to happen, whether we have contributed to it or not. We could stop all emissions right now and it would still change. It's not going to 'stabilize', there's no 'going back'. We have to adapt to the changes or die. I think we should build large, indoor, farms to grow the food we need to feed our population no matter what the weather decides to do with itself.

I live a good honest life and try to open peoples eyes to the evil around us. I think Faith is what is important here. We can only better the environment if we come to gather as a civilization.

Nature is designed to take care of itself, with humans are care-takers but unfortunately, we are serving the things that were supposed to serve us. We are digging tunnels in Manhatten and london when we can expand developments in the vast regions of Africa. When they finally dig out an earthquake, we blame climate change. I personally see these issues like good medicare, it is nonsense if it does not include and encourage proper diet, excersise, joy, laughter, family, love and stuffs like that...and these thing are free in nature.

To some a welcome thing.
To some not so welcome.
If you are looking to go, you are happy about it.
If you are not looking to go not happy about it.
There are many who say they are Christian but are not ready to go.
They are happy with this life.
They sing the hymns of over the river and all that but not mean what they sing.
