you told him that you were not going to be a part of his life any more until he got clean, and you did it out of love thinking maybe it would make him go to treatment but it didn't work plus now your mom thinks that you did it because you don't like him.
So what would a person in that situation do now, just pretend that he doesn't have a problem like the mom does and go out to dinner with the two of them as if there is nothing wrong or...?

I used to do meth a lot in the past, and trust me...he won't stop because you threaten to not talk to him. Here's the only thing you can really do. When you know he has some on him, you have to call the police, and basically that will keep him clean because he will be behind bars. I know it sounds like a shitty thing to do, but you will end up saving his life. If it's just possession he might get a few years. If it's a first offense, try to get a court order to send him to rehab.

There are support groups for family members who have a member of there family being an addict........ and also it sounds like your mum may need to go to one of these groups too. It can be very drainindg watching someone that you love go through times like this.......... but nonen the less you will always love your brother no doubt, and no u cant exactly ignore it so u needto seek professsional help for yourself on how to deal with an addict..... you could also do some research on drug addicts and the effects they have on peoples lives. ...........teh internet is a huge place with many answers and help as u may know so go for it ......... in the mean time try not to shut your brother out as much as it pains you and tires you out to see him be sick........ he really needs you.Good luck ok.

Stick to your guns! Don't associate with him as long as he's doing junk. Mama can think whatever she wants. When he starts stealing from her to support his habit, she will change her mind. Tough love isn't easy. Be very candid on the reason "why" you don't want to be around him. Find a counselor for him and give mom/brother the name and address so he can get help getting clean. Go to some meetings like Alnon for support. I think you're very brave. Godloveya.

I think you did what a good sister would do, but he is at a stage where he will not listen to you or any one else. It's sad to know that your mother is in denial and at the same time supporting his habit and she does not even know it. Do not give him any money. Talk to your mother when he is not around and make her understand and together find a way to help him help himself by making him aware of his addiction, which will lead to desctruction and maybe death.

No, be strong and stay out of his life til he is clean. Your mom is enabling him. He needs to have an intervention and get into rehab FAST.

You can not make another person do something that they do not want to do. You must be supportive of him and maybe show him what it is doing to him. It sounds like that you are very close to your brother. Please be there for him and love him for who he is not what he is. Good luck

stand your ground!!!!!! its only fair he abides to you wishes as you know the problems associated with the CRAP !!! tell him you love him very much,but you do want to see him die in front of your eyes,I think that would hit home if you said something like that !!!! hang in there & good luck...
