You should talk to him about it.I guess he has some commitment issues.Or he is still trying to fix his top priorities.The best thing you can do is get to the bottom of the matter.

maybe he is scared, maybe he is afraid of commitment, maybe he is afraid of change, maybe he is afraid that he will change if he gets married, try talking to him calmly, don't mention marriage, but tell him how he feels about taking the next step in the relationship, notice his reactions when you mention this, just give him little signs, little gestures, and see how he reacts, and if he acts uncomfortable, then you know that he is not ready to take the next step in the relationship, its up to you if you want to stay with him, even though he doesn't want to get married, if you truly love him, and he truly loves you, then try working it out, trust your instincts, its not the end of the world , just because he is not ready to get married, if you guys truly love each other, then your going to have to be patient with him, you guys will get married when your meant to get married, no need to rush, hope this helps, hope everything works out alright, lots of love.

well depends on how old u r and how old he is...
most ppl dun wanna get married real early these dayz due to financial or other issues...
if u feel ready to be married...maybe hint it to him that u want to take the relationship to the next level...and if he shows he has no commitment...and wouldn't ever wanna get married..then its best to let him go...there r plenty of other guyz around..no point waiting around for one

Just ask him what he wants in his future, then you can ask him if he thinks you and him would be with forever. You just need to know after 4 years. Maybe he hasn't even thought about it, it is about time he should. Because it effects your life too.

If you are sleeping with him, or living with him, that's why - he doesn't need to or want to get married. If you are doing neither of those, he's just not that into you. Move on.

He is not ready and/or he could be afraid of just the thought of marriage.
He also could be thinking, " Why buy the cow if I get the milk for free?!"
