Why do we need energy?

I need 2 points on why humans need energy in daily life.

Without energy there'd be no getting out of bed and going to work to make a living.

Without energy our bodies would never move and slowly our bodies would begin to rot as we "lived."

Energy is needed for anything that requires movement, heat, light, sound etc.

In typing this question you used energy (from food), your computer used energy to function and to produce the light on the screen (electrical).

Every living thing needs energy and as humans we need it for our circulatory, digestive, reproductive, skeletal, endoctrine, muscular, respiration, excretory and nervous systems, in short, everything.

In our daily lives it's used in factories to produce the goods we use, as fuel for transportation, to provide heat and light in houses, schools, shops etc. Even listening to a CD requires energy - to make the CD and player in the first place and energy to drive the machinery and further energy in the form of sound.

Energy is very important in today’s world. For example, we use different energy sources to generate the electricity we need for our homes, schools, businesses and factories. Electricity “powers” our TVs, computers, air conditioners, cell phones and washing machines - just to mention a few. We also use energy to run cars, planes, trains, buses and motorcycles.

We need solar energy or we'd freeze. We need biological energy or we couldn't function and there'd be nothing to eat. We need energy to run industry and farms else there's no food, lights, heat, refrigeration, medicine, transportation, electronic communication, computers, etc etc
