I didn't know peaches developed cancer...

Of course they haven't found a cure for cancer. But I bet there are a lot of desperate cancer patients willing to give a lot of money to homeopaths who tell them they have. parasites.

GoldieMe gave you the right answer. Laetrile has not been passed as safe to use as a cancer treatment. There was a case in the States about 15 years ago when a couple tried to take their son to Mexico for 'treatment', I can't remember the outcome.

There was a treatment developed at the end of the last century that had some hope, but then it was overshadowed by Mdme Curie's radiation experiments.
The treatment consisted of injecting bacteria into the tumour. This causes the immune system to recognise the tumour as foreign tissue and attack it.The patient experiences 4 weeks of flu like symptoms, after which about 80% of cases had a reduced tumour. It was reported in New Scientist a few years back, there were studies being done, but I haven't heard anything since.

Your friend is misinformed, unfortunately. There is no cure for cancer found in peaches or any other fruit . There is an invented vitamin they call b17, which isn't a medical term at all . . its another name for a poison that is commonly known as cyanide. There have been numerous unverifiable testimonials but no one has ever provided documented scientific proof that it works. Which should make you extremely suspicious . . if it works, why not just document the proof . . it should be easy to prove . .instead people whisper and spred tales . . and swear by testimonials. If this works or any unverified treatment works . . prove it by documenting it scientifically. That's all any of us who are fighting this horrid cancer ask. Provide independent proof.

There is information on apricot kernels and bitter almonds..in apricot seeds you find something called laetrile also called vitamin b17..which has been said to kill only cancer cells...this has not been proved. Maybe this is the same stuff found in peaches. My father tried them last year after being diagnosed with cancer..but he stopped using them so i can't say if they had an effect. I have known another cancer patient who ate them for a long period every day..he died a few months ago.

I am undergoing chemo. treatment at the moment at Harley Street. I would imagine that I would have heard about this and certainly my consultant would if it was true.
A cancer CURE would make headline news around the world and even I think that peaches as a cure is hard to imagine.

I think you are referring to peach seeds, and they supposedly have a cure for "cancer". Maybe it is called Laetrile. Sorry if my spelling is wrong but I think this idea was gone years ago.

There is no one single cure for cancer. It is a very complicated disease.

The treatment is called laetrile and is derived from the stones of peaches and apricots. The effectiveness of this treatment has not been proven and it can have dangerous side effects.

if anyone had found a cure for cancer it would be world wide news. i think alternative therapy should only be used as a suplimentary form of treatment and never relied on independantly of proper medicine

This drug containing cyanide was popularized quite a few years ago, and offered at clinics in Mexico. It does nothing against cancer.

Really sorry to disappoint you, even if you do appear incredibly gullible, but homeopathy has never found a cure for anything. No controlled studies have shown it to be any different from placebo!
