I have started to attend church groups since last month. I have had small talks with a 25 yo ladee I met at one group. I've talked to her a few times - there were times where I had to cut off the conversation because it was getting late.

she asked for my email and number last week which I politely gave her. she was going to send me more information on the group which she did. why does she need my number for that?

Today I went to one of their activities day. She was there all dressed nice with might i add, the nice shoes. When she was leaving with her friends she said if I want to have coffee to discuss anything.

I am 28 but I'm new to the church scene so I'm not sure what is appropriate behaviour...

She's very kind and accomodating. Don't give any other meaning. Unless you're uncomfortable with the situation let her do her thing. You're new to the group so she's probable just being nice. Not every church has members like her.

I guess I don't understand the problem. This lady seems very nice and probably just wants to be friends. Why not go out for coffee and learn something about the church and what they believe in. Sounds like a good way to see if this church is a good fit for you.

Maybe she needs a friend and thought you might too! I wouldn't trip too much, she may enjoy your company and conversations. Having coffee isn't inappropriate behavior or even getting to know each other, but don't go if you feel uncomfortable with it. You have a choice to accept or decline the invitation. She may be interested in you and is hoping you feel the same, but take it slow and be friends for now and maybe something wonderful will come of it, THE GOOD LORD WILLING!!!

Ask her to coffee or lunch a couple of times. Get to know her better. If she continues to act interested, then ask her for a date. Just take it slow. She will let you know if she is interested.

Don't worry! We "Church People" go out too! :D If you're interested in her, go on! If not, you can still go out and have fun! Just make sure that you're being good and having clean fun! :D
