i've noticed a little wound on my gums and i'm pretty sure i hadn't injured myself while eating or brushing teeth. may it be because of lack of vitamins? :(

Wounds on the gums are most commonly due to a lack of vitamin C (the condition once called scurvy), or gingivitis, which is inflammation due to infection.

If you brush regularly (like twice a day), I'd say that you might not be getting enough vitamin C. This is easy to fix though, as lots of fruits (oranges, etc) have plenty of vitamin C.

Sounds like gingivitis - make sure your tooth brush is soft and you brush at least twice a day. Floss too - (once a day)

Or you could have a canker sore - and it's a virus.
Nothing much you can do for it but keep your mouth clean.
Rinse with warm salt water too -

Feel better.

Make sure you are eating a good diet, drinking water
and vitamins are all great advice. :O)

Don't take this the wrong way, but unusual sores in the mouth can also be a sign of AIDS.
I'm not trying to be funny or scare you, but if you are high risk you may want to get tested.

Actually if it is a canker sore you can suck on L-lysine (also known as L-formula Lysine) . You can find it in the area of the vitamin section.
